I recently bought a 1998 bass tracker with a 75hp force...its not performing as I think it should speed wise...maybe 30-35 mph...the prop looks way too small and just wondering what would be the better size and pitch...can anyone help with that?

Bass Tracker with 75HP Force, Does your Tracker have a tach to give you RPM's? Your motor has a 4800-5400 at WOT rating. What is it running now with average load? What is your current prop Pitch? It should say either on the side of the prop or in the inner hub. I ran a SS 3 blade 16P and SS 3 blade 17P with my 75HP Suzuki. It performed the best with the 16P. What hole is your outboard mounted on transom from top? Could be your lower unit is set too deep. A lot to look at but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I just looked up your 1998 Force and 4750-5250 is Max RPM. I am not exacly sure about your motors gear ratio as it only lists 70hp then to 85hp. As an example I am running a 1999 Force 120hp 22p prop at 5200 rpm with a gear ratio 2.07:1 so in theory I should run 52.58 MPH but in reality I get about 47-48MPH GPS because of prop slippage.
