One of the things I mostly enjoy during summer time is selling Sea Rider Sibs, Ribs and 2 strokes Tohatsu OB's. Going to far away places to instruct the personal that will be using them to provide tender services to associates who owns boats at a beach Condo & Marina.

These guys don't know a thing about installing an out of the box new 380 alum floor Sib, less starting an OB for first time.

Sib installation course includes : unfolding the Sib, installing floorboards & side joiners, inflation procedures, what to do, not do, and general take care information including a one time overdose of Aerospace 3030 Protectant. UV punishment is high in that area.

OB installation course includes : centering OB on transom, correct trim setting, choke operation, filling fuel tank with 37.5 :1 fuel/oil ratio for engine break in period. Can't possibly break in an engine with a 25:1 ratio for tender services as will heavily smoke and foul plugs way prematurely.

Before is turned into full tender operation is stolen for at least 4 hours to break in the OB at different throttle settings but without entering full wot operation. A 18 HP is a real beast, with correct deck weight distribution planes the combo at less than 1/3 throttle so must be extreme gentle with the throttle.

The 380 Sib is very spacious, having a U shaped bow accounts for lost of extra space up front, with correct tube inflation to min 3.0 psi on all chambers and keel the one piece long side joiners locks all alum floor panels really well and cancels out the floor rattle and deck flexing found on Sibs that uses 4 side joiners during operation at speed.

This multitask Sib is excellent for fishing, spesrfishing, scubadiving, potting around, cruising and speeding. Is assembled with 1.2 mm Heavy Duty Akron Polyurethane fabric. Has 45 diam tubes, comes factory transom optimized to perfectly match Tohatsu OB's. With a 2 strokes Tohatsu 18 HP and full 6 gal tank only weights 150 KG. HP to weight ratio is oustanding. Can't possibly ask for more...

This new combo will replace both Avon & Honda 8 HP oldtimers, purchase that turned out to be a rip off right from the very beginning as purchaser didn't lnow much about inflatables.Sib has already hardened fabric, looses pressure and OB only worked for 1 hour. My advise : Be aware of what you buy second hand specially if asking price is very attractive, have someone with plain knowledge about inflatables to check it out for you or repent forever...

Happy Boating
