Patching Loldestar PVC inflatable

When an air leak is close to a rubbing strake , does one butt the repair patch up to the strake, or use a larger patch to cover both?

And while I'm on the subject of patches - what actually is PVC cement and will it stick PVC to Rubber?

How big is the air leak ? is it just a pinhole that releases tiny small air bubbles when soappy water is applied or it's a much bigger one. Need 2 part PVC glue to patch anything on a PVC inflatable.
