Anyone have suggestions for good lakes or rivers in South Carolina to go Redfishing? I would like to take my boat so I want to be in freshwater. Also what time of the year is it best to go?

Re: Freshwater red fishing in South Carolina.

Charleston,SC would be a good starting point....the Ashley River and the Cooper River meet there....brackish/saltwater mix according to tides and distance from harbor entrance. Remley's Point is a good place to launch your boat....need to check around for local fishing reports regarding best location for Redfish at a given time....A guide would be Very helpful for your first time out!.....but there are Reds in those rivers!...good luck!
