one extra part?????????

i am puting together my 89 302 marine.
i did put the intake manifold on,and i think i forget to put a little plate on the bottom.The plate is about 4" x 5" it has a little cut on the bottom and it has two bolt holes with two flat had bolts.
i hate to take it a part again.(new gasket etc.)
Is that belong there???

You musta made a mistake.....
MOST guys have enough extra parts to build
a second of whatever.


Seriously, Yeah you need to put that plate back on.
The people who engineered it put it there fora reason.

On the plus side, you might be able to reuse the gasket set
if you haven't run the motor, and if your careful.
Just fresh silicone.
