  • Miami Boat Show

Has anyone been to the Miami Boat show? Looking at doing a little father/son adventure, is it a good time? Was especially curious to see if you can walk through the big yachts like you can at other large boat shows.

Any insight is greatly appreciated! I'm not in the market for a new boat just yet, but just looking to see if its an enjoyable time and similar to other big shows.

I went years and years ago and was free to look at almost everything. Not sure about now, so I'm not much help.

I would think that you will get ---" sticker shock " -----When you look at the prices of the new stuff.------Be a good lesson to get the young one to " stay in school " and get a future that might include these toys.

used to go there every year as a vendor.

the convention center is in a cesspool of a neighborhood

large mega yachts are at the Ft Lauderdale show. and no, unless escorted by a broker or manufacturers rep, they dont let the general public on those.

you should be able to see the spec boats though (80 foot and smaller)

it didnt work for me, and I took the Admiral on a few $150M+ boats and a $3B boat as well as a bunch in the 30-50 foot range with prices from $200k up to $1.5M..... and she still says I spent too much on the boat.

take the admiral on the SeaRay SLX 400, or the Cruisers Cantius 60

Smart move! Unless she's real familiar with new boat prices that will open her eyes.
