I know I'm a few months early, but I'm wondering what the deal is to watch the July 4th fireworks at Penns Landing on the river. The main question is which boat ramp to use that would still be open at 10pm or later.

Are you on the NJ or PA side? I haven't been in the Northeast in years but if you're on the NJ side there's the Deptford Municipal Ramp that was pretty good and, I believe, open late.

You might want to do a drive by to see if there is any signage that says the ramp is closed after dark. Check out the Pennsauken Ramp or the Linden Ave ramp on the Philly side.

If that doesn't work, call one of the 2 private marinas on the Rancocas, Hawk Island or Dredge Harbor. At least you'll get a real person who can tell you if you can pick up late at night.
