I bought my first boat, and I have it ready for the water. What’s a good place to go for someone learning how.

your local boating safety course would be the first place I would suggest.

getting to know someone that is an avid boating in your neck of the woods is the second thing I would suggest.

YouTube has always been really helpful to me. So many videos on docking, launching/loading, anchoring, tying knots...pretty much anything you'd want to learn about.

i would suggest practicing backing up with your boat and trailer so you can get it where you want it to go,maybe a empty parking lot.. it can be difficult if you are not used to it. i'd also suggest finding a small body of water not too crowded to get used to your boat handling and putting on/off the trailer. maybe ask locals about the lake first so you have an idea where to avoid rocks and shallows etc.
