Great trade, how does she run? We had that boat about 35 years ago.

What do you specifically want to know? Looks similar to a lot of tri-hull/v-hull boats of the 70's era. The stripe pattern on the Tri-Sonics always reminds me of a Webbcraft or Cobalt of that era. The 888 drive is a 1.50 ratio drive that was mated to the Ford 302 V8, had a 2bbl carb with 188HP. That engine/drive was probably the top-tier package for that boat model, as most seem to have 4 or 6-cylinder engines. Most of the interior parts are pretty much universal with other boat brands of the period. As far as value, I'd say your boat (16-17' truhull) is probably worth $3K or so in good running condition in my area of the country.

Like most any tri-hull, they are very stable boats, especially at rest, and provide a larger bow area than an equivalent v-hull. They tend to jar your fillings out if you get into rough chop. They don't cut through waves/chop so much as they bounce off of it, but if you're coming from a light jon boat, then it will probably handle as well or better than what you've been used to.
