Who made this 14.5 foot 1970 boat?

All-

I am looking to buy a boat from a private seller. The boat is 14.5 feet long, and was built (allegedly) in 1970.

The seller says the boat is a Lancer - but I have searched everywhere and cannot find a "Lancer" model boat that was built in 1970 AND 14.5 long.

Does anyone have any idea who may have built this boat?

I have included a picture of the boat. Maybe that can help....

Can't be sure but it looks alot like my neighbors mid 60's Starcraft.

Welcome to iboats. Have you looked for a capacity plate somewhere on the transom? Usually the mfg will be identified on it somewhere. It's supposed to be in plain sight but maybe on this boat it's tucked up under the splashwell inside.

Look for a serial number stamped into the upper corner of the transom on the exterior. First letters indicate the manufacturer.
