trying to get some impressions on this boat and motor in order to get back into boating - I saw this ad in a local paper:

it's an '05 Monterey FS180 bowrider - 135HP volvo penta - about 100 hours on the motor - trailer too.

it's been bottom painted, says both fresh and saltwater usage. he's the original owner, boat pics seem clean, carb was redone last year - i think he'd let it go for 10k, although i see that Nada retail is between 9k and 10k

my biggest concern is the saltwater usage - whether it was flushed etc. but being a 2005 with 100 hours, i would think it's not been used all that much

I had a 2001 crownline 230CCR with a 5.0 mercruiser in the past - so I'm not 'new' to boats but would like any opinions on the Monterey you have

your thoughts on the Monterey are appreciated:
thanks

Sounds like a nice boat but being bottom painted and salt usage does drop the price a bit. The base powerplant doesn't help his value either. I'd want it for $8k.
