I believe I read something about this in a post but the search does not pull it up. So if this is question is out there, I apologize.

I'm looking at changing from an I/O to a V-drive and found what I wanted. I took it out and it pulls to the right, not to the point that I can't handle it. The ower said he contacted the manuf and they said this is normal for that boat (Ski Supreme) and that he could shave the fins on the bottom to stop that. Can someone confirm this???

Re: V-drive pulling to the right

Is it a V-Drive or a direct drive? Pulling to the right would be from the L hand prop. If it was a V-drive it would have a R hand prop. Is the engine in the middle of the boat? If so it be a direct drive.

Don't know how shaving the skegs would help. Maybe turning one a little to the right may help if it is even possible.

a v drive could have either a cw prop or a ccw prop... same with a direct drive..... one could tune the rudder tho

This is a V-drive. The engine is in the rear of the boat not the middle.

Thanks for everyone's help.
