Need New Controls-Opinions?

Currently I have the Mercury 3000 Classic control on my boat and it sucks!!! It is constantly sticking in throttle only and will not allow me to shift gears unless I take out the shift box and slide the POS square pin back enough to allow it to release. Tired of jacking with it and I would like to know what you guys would recommend replacing it with. The model # of the shift box is 827270A23. Pistol grip is fine, trim is fine, just crappy shift box. Any suggestions???

If you go with a Teleflex, which is a good unit, you'll have to swap out cables to universals, and get the adapters for the engine end.

Look for a used Commander Classic (not the 3000) on ebay, should be able to pick one up fairly cheap, and a better binnacle than the 3000...

Ever try taking it apart and greasing things? Does wonders.
