Do large boats have smaller bladders?

I alway notice when I walk by a larger boat it appears that the bilge pump is always peeing out water. Why do they do that?

More than likely what you are seeing is the air conditioning running. They are water cooled units and they have to circulate water when in A/C or heat mode.

That would be my guess. A bilge pump that runs on a docked boat would worry me quite a bit. My slip neighbor's bilge pump was running every hour or so so I called him on the telephone. He came to the marina and found and fixed a leak. We watch out for each other that way.
