Bought a boat last season. Just had the old boot striping decal removed, it was in bad shape. Has anyone installed new boot striping, is it difficult? Should I have the marina do it?

Thanks

I have,it was not really hard.Make a line in pencil and have someone holding the stripe tape out in front of you as you apply it.Use some acetone and clean the area first. The stuff i have is in a 150 ft roll,so if i messed up i had plenty extra. Also use a decal applicator to keep the air bubbles out as you go.

Thanks,

I'm going to do it myself. I can get the exact boot stripe from Sea RAy.

Cool! I had to find something that was close to original because my boat was so old.Bought it from Ebay. Actually it looked better than original colors.
Anyway just take your time. You need to be in a heated garage or outside temp at least 70*.If it goes on cold it may not stick very well.
Have your helper keep it pulled tight as you go...Good luck.Post a pic when you get it done...;)
