LS is long shaft or 20" models (top of transom to keel).

SS is short shaft or 15" models.

XL is extra- long or 25" and XXL is 30".

Re: Transom height terms

Not sure what you mean. The transom height is either 15" or 20" or 25" or 30". Its usually not easily changed.

What is it that they say?

One example is the Boston Whaler Outrage-18 of the 80s.

Single engine. . . 25" or extra long shaft.

Twins. . . 20" (long) shaft engines.

5" of deadrise between center of transom and the outer portions where twins would mount.

Re: Transom height terms

A 56" wide transom would suggest twin motor capability. sounds like JB knows the score

Re: Transom height terms

Now years ago it seems there were some boats around with 18" transoms. Maybe thats what they mean. It'd be worth a call to see....

You might be right, Dhadley. Noticed that the "Interior" depth is 19"....

Re: Transom height terms

Thanks for all the info. I will call a SC dealer south of me and see what they say. I just can't imagine two motors on a 12' boat with a 15hp max. Maybe you could order either way. I will find out.
Thanks again for the info.

Re: Transom height terms

What they mean is you can get it with a 15" transom or a 20" transom. The choice is yours. Twins on a 12 ft boat? I think not.
