Hello all, after install the starter it work but today 7/30/2020 I try starting and it is grinding again. Does this have to do anything with the flywheel gear?

Most engines stop in two or three locations and the starters eat away these areas so youll need to have someone spin the engine over slowly while watching the teeth after seeing the video if the bendex on the starter itself isnt slipping you might very well have some ground offf teeth. So figure out the best place to look at the teeth and have someone else turn it over. Look for a few inches that show shiny spots ideally you can get a good enough view to see the teeth eaten away. Often its 1/3 of the edge of the tooth so theres still going to be teeth showing in most cases.

I just check the flywheel again and one of the teeth broke so I guess replace a new gear flywheel?

Can you just replace the flywheel gear only or you have to replace the whole thing?
