Looking at Key Largo Boats 1720 CC, does it have closed cell flotation in the stringer system?

if it has engineered stringers, then most likely yes. most engineered stringers use foam in various places.

however as all expanding foam in boats starts out as closed cell foam.

then over the years the foam may break down as exposed to water.

call Key West and ask.

My current boat, bought last summer is a 2002 model, closed cell poured in foam, and I was suspicious of the foam due to the surface discoloration with petroleum products and bilge water. So I cut a chunk of it and put it in a pail of water. It floated like a fall leaf on a brook. So much for worrying about the foam.
