Water filter.

I wanted to install a water filter before my pump. Can I do this? The type of filter I wanted to use is an inline filter. Is there a better filter? Could this burn up the pump or not get full pressure? We only have one sink so maybe I should install under sink. Any help on this would be great thx. We Winteize boat every year and water is never clean and always smells like they just winterized it.

A filter won't catch what you are trying to fix. Are you trying to get rid of the smell? You need to sanitize your system yearly, you can read all about it on RV forums but basically you dump some bleach in and cycle it through.

The smell is part of it. I have done the bleach before. I was looking for better cleaner water coming from sink. Just not sure how well it will work.
