Hey all,

In winter storage, I noticed my prop seems to be bent / cupped. The skeg also has a very minor (quarter inch?) chip in it (not pictured). Based on the picture, is this something that would likely have a noticeable effect on the boat? Vibration, noises, etc? I'm trying to figure out if this happened while they pulled the boat for the winter, or if it could have happened earlier in the season and if I've been using it and potentially causing damage to the drive over last season.

Also, thoughts on repair VS replace? If replacing, thoughts on Ebay props?

That's a baby injury. Remove your props. A prop repair shop can straighten it. It looks like you hit something while under way. Double check the rear prop to be sure something didn't get chewed up between the two. Check both prop shafts for runout - wobble - . But I'm guessing you're OK. Bent prop shafts generally cause a noticeable vibration.

Get it sent out now so you have it ready to go when the season opens up.

Thanks guys, will do! Is there much to installing the prop? Alignment, balance, etc? Or just bolt-up and torque to spec?
