Acquired one of these, in good but sloppy/dirty shape. Going to restore. Any positive or negative experiences with these. Has 55 Yamaha on it in very good condition.

Welcome aboard: I wouldn't worry about the brand too much. At that age, any boat - particularly a restored one - can be a fine boat. It's all about time, effort and money. As far as a brand itself goes, Bonita is nothing special. It was one of a zillion companies making boats for a while.

Bonita made a buncha' different hulls, so if you're not familiar with the type you got then maybe there'll be a surprise there. But otherwise, it's all about how well you put this one back together.

Thanks, it seems nice little runabout when it is cleaned up, some paint and rubberized deck coating. Seems like the floor in front of where the motor is in the stern is a little soft.

remember, the last thing to rot is the floor. with the boat being a 1988, you have a full restoration ahead of you.
