Which connector for OMC fuel tank?

Hi all!

I recently purchased a 12 foot boat that came with a really nice older OMC model 6 metal fuel tank. The connector on the tank has the two vent pins which are pressed in upon connection. Any idea which fuel connector to use for this tank? I'm referring to the one that attaches to the hose.

Thanks in advance!

That looks like the connection to the old style tanks. It would be considered "vintage." The parts for some of those are still (I think) available depending on how old the outboard is. What is the outboard?

That's a late model OMC (not BRP) fuel tank that uses a 3/8" fuel line. The tank and engine fittings are the same, OMC part number 176445, or Attwood equivalent 8889P6.

The fitting on the other end of the line should be a current model Mercury. A Q&D search on IBpoats didn't bring up any fittings, but any marine store should have what you need. Both are readily available.

The Merc and OMC fittings look almost the same, but they are not interchangeable.
