Any good ideas on cleaning the 8/10 pin connector pins and sockets.

I use WD-40 (or similar) and an old ( or your wife's) toothbrush....take your time and be gentle with the pins....blow it off with the air hose to remove any dirt or debris. Chapstick is a convenient product to apply to help waterproof the assembly...

Ok,heres what worked . Contact cleaner, emery boards[ladies fingernail type] and correct size drill bits The emery boards can be cut to fit for the pin side of the socket then spray out the crud.Gently twist drill bits in socket side by hand and spray clean. Some of them are too small to get a Q tip or steel wool into.

Follow-up with all that work with a blast of air to clear out tiny debris. I like to use a can of air (Like a computer cleaner) when I have a tiny quick job - works great when cleaning a carb too.
