There is a high probability of MPI but serial numbers can verify, or have a look, easy to see

I'm going to say it is a MPI as MPI came out on the small block v8's, (and v6's actually), for engine model year 2002 (the modern smartcraft capable MPI) and unlike the 5.0 that continued on as both carb and MPI after 2002, I never saw another 350 carb post engine model year 2002. Of course a quick glance at the engine will confirm as well.
