Request engine input for Aqua Sport

I own a 1984 25' Aqua Sport and am looking into replacing the current 28 year old 2 stroke 200 hp Evinrude. Looking for input on 2 stroke vs 4 stroke for the boat and which 200 hp engine to go purchase.

what does the USCG capacity plate say you can put on the boat?

that is what you can put on the boat.

as far as brands, get the one with the closest dealer to you because you will need service.

I personally like two strokes vs the heavier 4-strokes.

Whats wrong with the old evinrude?

I know they like gas,..

But they are pretty bombproof and easy to work on.
