No placard on 1959 blue star 14' boat

Here in Il an hin is required after 1972. I have a title but no card. Can I use a formula to get the numbers then put on the boat?
I have never had one checked before.

The Il dnr boat section is very slow.

Many states agencies that handle the boats will inspect and assign a new number to the boat. You will have to check with your DNR to find out what procedure your state has. There are also companies in business that will do replace plates as well, might check around and see what they would charge you to get one done.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. There is an hin on the title. The placard that gives the max hppano of passengers, etc. Is missing or maybe it never had one in 1959.

Your 1959 boat probably had a BIA placard, but they will make a us cg decal for you with the info you provide.

Does it have to be cg approved?
A title copy and the above list would say the same thing.
