lost drain plug

I have a 1988 19 ft bayliner and apparently I lost the drain plug. Does anyone know what size this is and does it have to be machine threaded since it is going into a brass fitting.

3/8 or 1/2 pipe plug ( most are 1/2) Go to your local hardware store

As stated above, make sure it's brass.

You can pick them up at most any hardware store that has a plumbing dept, the last one I picked up I got at Home Depot. But again, make sure you get a brass plug.

My local Wally world also stocks them in the boating section of sporting goods.

When you buy one, buy three—-put an extra one in your boat and the other in your tow vehicles glove box.

They have a habit of disappearing right when you want to go boating
