Brand new to boat

So I'm completely new to the boat, it's a crestliner 1950 sportfish, and I'm not able to adjust the outboard motor with the trim buttons. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or if it has a problem, as I said I'm brand new to it. It was my father's boat and now my mom and I are sorta winging it here. Thanks in advance for help!

welcome aboard.

tell us a bit more about the boat. however generally, you press the up button and the motor goes up until it hits the trim limit. then above that you need to press the trailer button.

to go down you press the down button.
