Considering I usually do everything to my boat as cheaply as I can, I'm sitting on only a few grand total for the entire time I've owned the boat ( 11 years ), but that starts with the $300 I paid the guy for the pleasure of dragging it out of his ditch, to rebuilding the stringers, transom and deck, repainting, buying a motor and trolling motor, seats and all of the odds and ends that come with it. I'm not really a spread sheet type, so I can only estimate how much I put into the boat every year. Usually my cost per year is how much I feel like it will hurt my bottom line at that very moment and decide if I can wait or make the purchase. Eating that elephant one bite at a time. The good news is that I'm down to finishing the interior panels and a couple of cushions and some light electrical rigging. The motor is my focus this spring as the end of the season found it surging and I couldn't narrow down the exact cause, so it's getting rebuilt carbs put back on, a new starting battery and a new head gasket. The battery will hopefully be the biggest expense this spring.
