I am looking at purchasing a 2007 Sea Hunt 186 CC that's got a soft spot in the deck, to the right of the center that runs about the length of the console. I inspected underneath to see if there were signs of damage, none. No gel coat cracking around the area that is soft, and hull underneath is strong. There is one thru hull drain in the bow that drains to that side from the anchor storage compartment but no signs of it separating that the eye can see and this boat (and motor) looks about flawless otherwise. The sales guy showed me what the deck is made of which was a honeycomb type of material and suggested something heavy must have been the cause of such softness. I plan to call Sea Hunt tomorrow to get an opinion on what I've been told. Any thoughts as to whether this would be a deal killer?
