Well it's been done before but I am redoing our whole interior removing my
Lower Helm adding seating and getting a lot more countertop space.. I'm also redoing the outside with a much newer look. now I know so guys may not like the change however to each there own... the boat is a 79 and I can tell you the Lower Helm has never been used and I know I will never use it do to me putting big bucks into the top bridge..

Best of luck to you. Carver offered a lower helm option on the 26 Command Bridge (my boat). Mine doesn't have it and I never wanted it. Once you've piloted a boat from the bridge you'd never want to do it from the cabin. The view and control are great from "up there".

I had a 2001 Voyager 374. Upper helm only. Only time I wished I had a lower helm is when it was 96º and we were running with the wind or when it was raining hard. 99% of the time I never could see me using it.
