Loss of Radar echo returns with Northstar 6000i radar and chart plotter

Has anyone ever lost the echo returns for their radar scanner? I recently had to update my Northstar 6000i chartplotter and radar with new firmware to allow use of a new Navionics Flash Disc and when changing the split screen display from 3 splits (radar, chart plotter and depth sounder) I received a "blue screen of death". On restart and reboot so to speak the scanner still rotates but there are no echo returns. any help or ideas would save a bundle
