Underwater river cams -- WALLEYES

Been watching the underwater cam at Shiocton Wisconsin for a while. But only watch for 5 minutes a day.

Very late spring this year, and the water temps jumped from 36 on Sunday, to 42 on Wednesday.

This has really triggered the fish to move upstream, from Winnebago, 50 miles up to the marshes where they spawn.

Have seen many monster females in the last 4 days.
They were coming thru in schools for a few days, a little slower now.
Haven't seen but a couple smaller males yet.

And of course, the redfish, suckers, and carp that will move in to try to vacuum up the walleye eggs.
Also saw on sturgeon.

Wow that is cool. I will tell one of my buddies about the cams, he goes up to Freemont for the white bass run every year. Thanks

The Detroit River has the same action, I'm not aware of a camera location. We fish this river hard in the spring as about 6-8 million waldo's come here from the great lakes to spawn every year. 12 lbs is not unheard of, but the big one's are let go to spawn, they don't taste very good. The fishing is second to none, limits of fish are almost the norm.
That's a really nice thing to view when you have to work and have the itch to fish.
