Caught this Bluefish after work yesterday. Outrageously low tide with schoolies pushing bait onto shore. 12lbs, 28". Guess the fish haven't left yet afterall. Might just have to put the boat back in the water for a few days.

Of course I was after Stripers at the time.

Report in local paper said fish are gone. This morning on my way to work they were exploding just off the beach. Might just have to take an extended coffee break.

gonfishn, they're mostly dark meat and can be a little on the oily side. First thing I do is bleed 'em. This seems to help. Then I mostly smoke them over hickory or mesquite. Wife likes to make chowdah with them. Very tasty chowdah with bacon.
