Has anyone got a special shrimp recipe, I am putting together a shrimp recipe booklet for friends and family. If you have a favorite, or several, please post them here. "THANKS"!

"Shrimp Kisses"<br /><br />Ingredients<br /> <br />2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined and butterflied<br />8 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese or pepper jack, cut into strips<br />3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded<br />1 teaspoon garlic powder<br />1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning TM, or to taste<br />2 pounds thick cut bacon<br /><br />Directions<br /><br />1 Cut the jalapeno peppers into thin strips. Place a strip or two of jalapeno pepper and cheddar cheese inside each shrimp.<br />2 Sprinkle the stuffed shrimp with garlic powder and Old Bay Seasoning TM. Wrap each shrimp with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Thread shrimp onto skewers.<br />3 Grill over medium high heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until firm.<br /><br />If you really like hot, you can slice whole jalapeno's remove seeds put smaller shrimp inside cavity, then a strip of cheese or use cream cheese, wrap with bacon and grill or broil. Dip in ranch dressing.<br /><br />Great appetizer!

"Shrimp And Scallops Alfredo"<br /><br /> May make with shrimp only.<br /><br /> 1/4 c. butter, melted<br /> 1/2 c. dry white wine<br /> 2 tsp. minced garlic<br /> 1/2 lb. fresh jumbo shrimp, peeled & deveined<br /> 1/2 lb. fresh bay scallops<br /> 1 c. heavy cream<br /> 1 pkg. fettucini, cooked<br /> Parmesan cheese, grated<br /><br />Heat butter and wine in saucepan; add garlic and shrimp (and, if used, scallops). Saute over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cream and paste (thin flour/water) bring to a gentle boil and stir until thickened. Pour over fettucini. Serve with Parmesan cheese. Serves 4 to 6.

"Shrimp Ettouffe" <br /><br /> 1 1/2-2 lbs. shrimp weighed with shells on, then shelled raw<br /> 1 stick butter<br /> 5 bunches green onions, chopped with lots of tops<br /> 2 or 3 ribs celery, chopped<br /> 2 cans sliced and drained mushrooms, or 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced<br /> 2 tbsp. chopped parsley<br /> Salt, Old Bay Seasoning to taste (about 1/2 tsp. each)<br /> 2/3 c. chicken broth<br /> 1 tbsp. cornstarch<br /><br />Cook onions and celery in butter until clear. Add raw shrimp, parsley and seasons and mushrooms. Add a little broth. Cook covered 10-15 minutes until shrimp are done. Thicken with cornstarch diluted in remaining chicken broth. Serve over rice. Can be made early and reheated, but shrimp gets tough. Serve over rice.

"Shrimp Gumbo"<br /><br />2 pounds shrimp<br />2 tablespoons oil<br />2 tablespoons flour<br />3 cups chopped okra<br />2 onions, chopped<br />2 tablespoons oil<br />1 can tomatoes<br />2 quarts water<br />1 bay leaf<br />1 teaspoon salt<br />3 garlic cloves<br />Red pepper<br /><br />Peel shrimp and de-vein. Make a dark roux with flour and oil. Add shrimp for a few minutes and stir constantly. Set aside.<br /><br />Smother okra and onions in oil. Add tomatoes when okra is nearly cooked. Add water, bay leaf, garlic, salt and pepper. Add shrimp and roux. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.<br /><br />Serve alone or over rice.

Shrimp and smoked sausage gumbo<br />1 LB homemade pure pork smoked sausage<br />2 tablespoons cooking oil<br />1 LB peeled shrimp<br />6 cups smothered okra<br />2 onions, chopped <br />1 bell pepper chopped<br />1 quart water<br />1 teaspoon minced garlic<br />1 can Rotel tomatoes<br />1 teaspoon black pepper<br />1,1/2 teaspoons red pepper<br />2 teaspoons salt<br />3/4 teaspoon onion powder<br />1/2 cup chopped green onions<br /><br />To smother okra, slice and sauté in oil until brown. Add onions, bell pepper and garlic. Simmer 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, dry seasonings, seasonings, sausage and water. Cook 40 minutes. Add shrimp and green onions. Cook 10 minutes and serve over rice.<br /><br />Richard

I have collected them from the internrt, all you need to do is go to google, and search for "shrimp recipe". It is too lengthy to post here I believe, but if someone wanted, I have them on a "works word processor", I could email you an attachment. :D :D :D :D
