Fish finder shut down

I just got a 20' Crestliner aluminum boat with a 200hp Honda and a hummingbird matrix fish finder. The hummingbird works just fine if I turn it on after the motor is running but, if I shut the motor down and re-start, the finder freezes up and will not turn off or anything until I pull it off the mount and then re-start it. Anyone know why or how to fix it? Thanks

Running the FF of the starting battery, aren't you?

When the motor is starting, the voltage is dropping below the threshold for the FF.

How to fix - Cleaning all the electrical connections may fix it. The other thing is supply the juice to the FF from another battery. Do you have more than one battery?
