Have 15' small bass boat with 91 ERude 15HP 2 stroke .Great for trolling rigs in upper feeder river area of lakes in the spring,in the 2.5-3.2mph range.
if I go with a 16-17' Grizzly type boat,and a Marcury 60/40 jet,will this work,or will I have to use my 8hp ERude 8hp 2 stroke to troll?
Been reading much pro,but mostly con,saying that with mild river&wind current it is a beast with the jet. Another issue,how
shallow of water will this rig go up through,I meaning rocky rapids of the class11 type in the rocky New river in WV?15" of water,12"?,I know this a hard question to answer.I`ve went up through many over the years with the 15hp prop,but done some minor damage to my prop over the years,but never so bad I had to replace one.
Any thoughts on this please?
