I have twin outboard that I am experiencing a charging problem with on one battery. I have two staring batteries and two house/electronics batteries. The house batteries are charged via the accessory charging wire on the motor. I tested the voltage on the engine, at the fuse block, and the accessory charging wire is getting 8.25 volts. The volts at the affected battery remain at 12.6 volts. The charging circuit for the starting battery is at 14 volts while running. I switched the rectifier assemblies between the two motor and the same thing occurs.
Last summer I had to remove and charge this battery to keep it charged, but I have finally determined that it has not been charging. I also just replaced this battery because it failed completely and the sides were sucked in.
Can anyone make recommendations for troubleshooting?
I have the manual but unsure of the testing method for the lighting/stator.
