I have a 2006 Bennington, 2075 pontoon, with a 75 HP Yamaha O/B.
Last time I had it out, an unknown symbol appeared on the tach gage. It was to the far left and looks like an hour glass, the thing you have sand in and turn upside down to time something. At first I thought it was either the letter B or the number 8.
Does anyone know what that symbol could mean?
On the same trip my tach went from 4,500 rpm to 7,000 rpm, without touching the throttle or hearing any difference in the sound of the engine. Then it fluctuated a few other times by a few hundred rpms. Then back to normal.
Thanks for any information.
Tom
