Removing cylinder head on 2005 suzuki df70 need some advice

Hi my name is Conor im a car mechanic, a friend has a suzuki df 70 outboard that is missing on one cylinder and we are attempting to take the head off as its down on compression on number 3 cylinder if anyone could help me out i would be very greatful

Sorry should have said I have it striped right down, have head bolts out but it won't spilt from block do I have to remove the block from the rest of the motor before the head will come away from the block

You have to remove the powerhead from the engine holder (oil pan) to get the cylinder head off.
