2000 Yamaha 200 Hp OutBoard neutral engine safety switch

When i shift it forward or reverse or come down to an idle she stalls out on me. Does anyone know what may be causing this to happen? Last year ran great now all of sudden this year it's giving me problems. i don't know if the idle is to low? or what? I have a 2000 Yamaha 200 HP 6 cylinder 2 stroke outboard. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Sounds fuel related clean everything up, change filters/ screens, check pressures and pumps.
Make sure your fuel and tank are not full of trash/water
