9.9 remote Suzuki stalling at high RPM

Just installed a new Suzuki remote on my boat and took it out this weekend to break it in. It runs great at idle, up to about half throttle. From half throttle on it becomes sluggish and if I accelerate quickly it will stall.

This is the first year it has run, so it really should not be a carb issue at this point. It is hooked into the main full tank. The fuel is old, so that could be it, but it is odd that it run fine up to half throttle. Also, the main motor operations fine at all speeds.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have the same motor, and have had the same experience. My problems seem to have gone away with use. I would suggest that you give the motor some time (use) and see what happens. I may have 60 hrs on mine and it has improved. Good luck. Al
