Re: Yamaha F115, NMEA 2000 compatibility ?
I already have Lowrance LMF-200 and LMF-400 gauges hooked to a nmea 2000 network with a '06 F115. Works great and a lot cheaper than the command link stuff but it does have some limitations. You will probably also want the storage module (lowrance EP-85R) so you can also keep things like trip fuel used and seasonal fuel used between starts/runs. I also have a nmea 2000 gps hooked up and now can compute mpg. The engine already gives you fuel flow, engine temp, alternator voltage, etc... . Also, most engine warning messages appear if you monitor system messages. I know for a fact the "low oil pressure" and "overheat" messages definetely do appear. I do not have a picture of the connector on the engine but I will take one today and post, probably, tomorrow. Goodluck and let me know if you find out anythingb else interesting.
