suzuki dt65/dt40? identification

hi all i have just bought a boat with what i belive to be a suzuki dt65 or dt 40 where should the id plate be i cant find one anywhere is there any other way to identify it? its also a 2 cylinder.and on the block and head is stamped 953. cheers dave
