Suzuki DT100 Compression

Hi,
I have a '96 DT100 that is showing 90-92psi on all cylinders. Does anyone know what the compression is supposed to be?
Plugs look a little wet and blacken up fairly quickly as well.
I have noticed the engine doesn't really have the punch of other outboards I have run, however once on step it pushes my 17 aquasport at around 35mph which I think is pretty good.
Any opinion is welcome.

Thanks

Re: Suzuki DT100 Compression

I think you are okay, Beau. There is no "spec" for minimum psi because guages, technique and conditions vary too much.

What is important. . . that the cylinders match within 10%. . .is well met in your Suzi.

Good luck, and welcome to iboats. :)

Re: Suzuki DT100 Compression

JB,
thanks for the reply. Any suggestions on the wet plugs? If it's not being created by a lack of compression could this be fuel mixture issue or lack of good fire?
I am running the Suzuki recommended NGK plugs right now.

Thanks again
