Suzuki 9.9 hp starter

Hello,

I have a Suzuki 9.9 hp outboard. I believe it is a 1982, the model number is 0992. The Pinion Gear for the starter assembly is broken. I believe the part number is 18261-93504. I have been unable to get a new part and have been told Suzuki doesn't make them anymore. I am looking for a used part. Does anybody know where I can find one or if there is a part from a different manufacturer that I can substitute? Any help would be appreciated.

I need the same pinion part . did you have any luck finding one? My 9.9 is a 1981. Do you have any ideal how much a motor like this is worth? thanks
