Yamaha 115 2000 4 stroke won't charge

I have a yamaha 4 stroke 115 (yr 2000) which runs fine, but quit charging the battery. I make a trip and when I return the battery is dead. Anyone know what the likely problem is?

Most likely it's the rectifier & regulator. I have read a few posts about them failing on this motor. Yamaha has replaced the original part with the new one below.

the new Yamaha RECTIFIER & REGULATOR part is 67F-81960-11-00. It replaced the old one 67F-81960-00-00.

Does your batt gauge show 13-14 volts when the motor is running? what does it show when its off?

Have you measured the voltage at the battery when the motor is running?
Have you had the battery load tested?
Ho wold is the battery?
I'd do that first.
My 01 F115 put out around 14 volts to the battery when running.

Definitely check the wiring, red wire off the rectifier is most likely the culprit grounding out. Replace with newer one like said above.
