Hi All -

Still hoping this thread may find some help.

I have acquired a 1984 Suzuki DT115hp outboard in fair maybe good shape. .

It has good compression and the hydraulic/electric trim system works.

I want to see if this motor might run -or- (if not) a partout. But... I need to know the wire hookups from the engine plug so I can power up the ignition.

Obviously... not interested in spending 30+$ on this till I figure this out.

Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated (1 page of the elec schematic).

Please go here for bigger photos:

http://www.OceanNear.com/Files/suzuki.htm

Wires are:

Pink = Trim
Lt Blue = Trim
Orange = electric choke

Blue = ?
Brown = ?
Green (splits to 2 green) = ?
White = ?
Black = ?

Off White (with Black connected to Black) = ?

Ok guys. Here is the no kidding wiring diagram for the 1984 Suzuki DT115.

I've determined this motor has a bad CDI.

Thanks for the post Jetav8r, just what I needed.

One thing though, I can't read the fine print in the diagram. Any chance of posting a higher resolution image or a pdf document?

Yes.... I know. That is the way I got it but.... right click and save photo. Then open with explorer and use ctrl + / - to zoom in and out. YOu can get what you need but takes some work and guessing.

The excel sheet I made cosolidates that info for just the ignition plug to engine.
