  • Suzuki DF50 reverse shifting

New Suzuki DF50. When the shift lever is pulled from neutral to reverse, before it gets "into" reverse, there's a clicking sound from the engine. It doesn't quit til fully in reverse. Don't know if it's gears not meshing or maybe just normal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Howdy, Buck.Your engine uses a "dog" clutch, which is either in or out.You are shifting it too slowly and allowing the "dog" to bounce off the hub.Shift it more positively.Good luck.

Thanks JB for the quick answer, it was also the one I wanted to hear(instead of a problem). Sorry I posted to wrong forum. Thanks again.
