trying to remove gearbox to do watewr pump cant get to come all the way off box has dropped about 6 t0 8 inches seems that the gear linkege is still holding it i think it is a 1983 model not sure but does anyone no how to tell for sure
If it's anything like the one I have, You can see where the shift rod intersects the shift linkage lever, down there below the carb area. It required me to remove some retaining device(it's been a while) then slide the rod sideways out of the lever.<br /><br />Here ya go. I pulled out my parts book. It was the nut #4 removed allowing the shaft #1 to slide out of the end or rod #11-12<br /><br />But realise this is from a 79'DT50 parts book so yours may be similar or different.<br /><br />
